Terms
These terms cover your use of Arland, operated by Ludonode LLC. Using the service means agreeing to them.
The service
Arland reads the pages and documents you point it at and answers visitors’ questions from that material. You embed it in your own site.
Arland produces text with a language model. It can be wrong. It is not a substitute for your own review, and it must not be the sole basis for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions, yours or your visitors’. If your site carries that kind of information, review what your bot says about it.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in. One person, one account: do not share credentials, and invite your teammates to your team instead, which costs nothing.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Your content
Your pages, documents and settings stay yours. You grant us only the license it takes to run the service: to store your material, process it so a bot can answer from it, and show it back to you and to your visitors.
You are telling us, by pointing a bot at something, that you have the right to do so.
What you may not do
- Point a bot at material you have no right to use.
- Use Arland to produce unlawful, deceptive or harassing content, or to impersonate someone.
- Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer or resell the underlying models.
- Circumvent metering, security controls or another customer’s isolation.
- Run automated traffic at a bot in volumes a real site would not generate.
We can suspend a bot or an account that does these things. Where it is sensible to warn first, we will.
Billing
Bots are billed per bot, in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe. Prices are on the pricing page and can change with notice to account holders; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Stopping a renewal keeps the bot running until the end of the period you have paid for. After that it goes dormant: it stays in your account with its sources intact and tells visitors it is unavailable. Resuming brings it back.
Refunds: email us. See below.
Availability
We work to keep Arland up and we do not promise it always will be. There is no uptime SLA on these terms. We do maintenance, and providers we depend on have outages.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you are paying for, you get a refund for the unused part.
Ending it
You can delete a bot or close your account whenever you like. We can end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or if we stop operating the service, in which case we will give notice and refund what you have paid for time you will not get.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
We will tell account holders by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Arland after that means accepting the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.
