Privacy

Ludonode LLC (“we”, “us”) operates Arland, a chat assistant that site owners embed in their own websites. This policy covers two different groups of people, and the difference between them matters:

  • Customers: people with an Arland account who run a bot.
  • Visitors: people who talk to a customer’s bot on the customer’s site.

What we collect from customers

  • Account details. Your email address, and your name and profile picture if your identity provider supplies them. If you sign in with a magic link, an email address is all we ever have.
  • Team and bot configuration. Team names, bot names, the URLs and documents you point a bot at, and your bot’s settings.
  • Billing details. Handled by Stripe. We store a customer reference and a subscription status; we never see or store your card number.
  • Operational logs. Standard web server logs, kept for a short window for debugging and abuse handling.

What we collect from visitors

When someone talks to a bot, we store the conversation so the bot’s owner can read it and so the bot can hold a coherent thread.

We do not set advertising cookies, we do not build profiles of visitors across sites, and we do not sell anything to anybody. A conversation with a bot is visible to the customer who owns that bot and to nobody else’s bot.

Do not type anything into a bot that you would not send its owner in an email. A bot is not a private channel; it belongs to the site you are on, and its owner can read what you said to it.

What we do with it

We use what we collect to run the service: to answer a visitor’s question from the customer’s sources, to show a customer what their visitors asked, to bill for bots, and to keep the whole thing working and free of abuse.

We do not train models on your content. Model providers we send text to for inference do not train on it either, under the API terms we use.

Who we share it with

Only the processors it takes to run Arland:

  • Anthropic: model inference for bot answers.
  • Stripe: payments. They are the ones handling your card.
  • DigitalOcean: hosting for the control plane and for bot nodes.
  • Our email relay: sending magic links and account mail.

And where the law requires it. If we are ever compelled to hand something over, we will tell you unless we are legally barred from doing so.

How long we keep it

  • Account and team records: for as long as you have an account.
  • Conversations: until the owning customer deletes them, or the bot is deleted.
  • Logs: a short operational window, then discarded.

Deleting a bot deletes its sources and its conversations. Closing your account deletes your account record.

Your choices

Ask us and we will get it done:

  • A copy of what we hold about you.
  • Correction of anything wrong.
  • Deletion of your account and its data.
  • An objection to a particular use.

Email help@ludonode.com. We will not make you use a form.

Cookies

The control plane sets one session cookie so that you stay signed in. That is the whole cookie story on the account side. This marketing site sets no cookies at all.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will tell account holders by email rather than quietly editing the page.
